I have been very active at Sutter Roseville Medical center for 15 plus years till 2013 taking care of extremely sick and often indigent patients. served on multiple hospital committees.

Been member of Sutter Independent Physicians (SIP) for over 20 years and member of the executive board.
I have been chairman of SIP Quality Assurance Committee for many years.

During the great recession of the first decade of this century, I opened my practice doors to people who had lost jobs and health insurance. This free clinic was run on every Saturday for ~2 years while even the costs of overheads were donated by me.

The regular contributor to multiple local Sikh Gurdwaras and the Kalgidhar Trust ( Baru Sahib Akal academy) to help poor children's education
Donated to Guru Nanak foundation to help poor girls' wedding expenses donated to Global Health Foundation to help poor patients in Nepal and Vietnam
I have been an innovative physician and have done original research in areas of Integrative Medicine and published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals.
I have also treated poor patients with large discounts

In addition to serving as President of Sacrament Sikh Society for many years in past, I have been a voluntary teacher at Gurmat schools at multiple Gurdwaras.
I have served a Zonal convener of greater Sacramento area for Hemkunt speech competition for multiple years.
